Airdrie and District Humane Society
The Airdrie & District Humane Society is a non-profit organization that strives to protect animals from cruelty and neglect as well as provide emergency shelter and care for abandoned, abused, exploited or homeless animals.
They wish to obtain the interest and financial support of the community and educate the public about responsible pet guardianship.

Although focused primarily on finding discount hotels in Airdrie, they also recognize the need to find other amenities such as dining, attractions, transportation to and from Airdrie as well as what activities there are to do in Airdrie. Calgary Humane Society
The Calgary Humane Society's mission is to help as many animals as they can.
The Society must euthanize animals each year. The majority of these animals are sick or injured or some have serious behaviour problems, while the rest we simply cannot find homes for.
The Society continues to struggle with the over-population of cats in our city. Right now 70 to 80% of the animals we receive are not spayed or neutered. As well, our Society strives for answers to the problem of unwanted rabbits. We feel the solution lies in education, awareness and the promotion of spaying and neutering pets.

My first pet was a border collie named Samson. Samson liked to lay on top of my colouring book, blocking all attempts at completing my picture until he felt satisfied that I had paid enough attention to him.
This is how my passion for art and animals began.
After completing my Bachelor of Fine Arts in photography I chose to specialize in the animals that we hold so dear to our lives. Each animal is unique as is the bond that people share with them.
