The Airdrie & District Humane Society is a non-profit organization that strives to protect animals from cruelty and neglect as well as provide emergency shelter and care for abandoned, abused, exploited or homeless animals.
They wish to obtain the interest and financial support of the community and educate the public about responsible pet guardianship.

About the owner
Sheena MacLean grew up horseback riding regularly, and in a household with all sorts of pets. With a knack for creativity, it was only a matter of time before the two passions would cross. After achieving her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography, Sheena spent three years focusing on Equine photography and was published across Canada. However, she really wanted her photography to showcase her passion for all animals, and now thrives on the challenge to bring each animalŐs unique characteristics to light in the photos she takes.
Calgary Humane Society
The Calgary Humane Society's mission is to help as many animals as they can.
The Society must euthanize animals each year. The majority of these animals are sick or injured or some have serious behaviour problems, while the rest we simply cannot find homes for.
The Society continues to struggle with the over-population of cats in our city. Right now 70 to 80% of the animals we receive are not spayed or neutered. As well, our Society strives for answers to the problem of unwanted rabbits. We feel the solution lies in education, awareness and the promotion of spaying and neutering pets.
