With over two acres of a fully fenced and secure area for your wonderful pets to frolic with one another with no fear of tight quarters, runaway or untrained animals not belonging to Love Your Pet getting in their way. Fully equipped with an agility animal playground in order to ensure your dog is getting healthy exposure and exercise while having fun!

In light of the infamous unpredictable weather of Alberta, Love Your Pet's Doggy Day Care will also include a 5,000 square foot indoor facility for those brisk, chilly or wet days.

In addition, a separate section will be reserved for those smaller and not-too-social dogs that may feel intimidated by all the running around - with full time Love Your Pet Animal Care Professionals at their service.

Saying Goodbye to Joey

Unfortunately, Love Your Pet is sad to inform you of another one of our beloved clients passing on. We send our condolences to the Joey family.

Joey came to us just before Christmas Day 2009. He was an old Beagle apparently found on the highway in Newfoundland.
He spent several months at the shelter because nobody wanted to adopt an old dog, maybe 10 or 11 years old. Joey was sent west to Calgary to a foster home owned by Jane and Tim who lived in my neighbourhood. I was out for a walk with my other Beagle, Baxter, and there walking down the street were Jane and Tim, their Beagles and Joey. He melted my heart immediately. I hurried home to get my husband, Jim and we were at Jane and Tim’s house with a half hour. We got Joey through Beagle Paws. We feel blessed by Joey and truly fell in love with him.
He was the sweetest little dog. Joey made our home his: his spot on the chair, his spot on the bed, his side of the car, his little swagger when he walked, his possession of treats. We could pick him up like a baby, cuddle him like a baby and he just buried his head right up into ours. Joey came to us with an enlarged heart and his heart continued to get bigger to the point that he had trouble catching his breath. He slowed down on his walks and then he did not want to walk. He stopped eating and chose to go into the raspberry bushes to die. We lost Joey on Monday March 12, 2012. My heart is so sad with the loss of this very special little boy.
